What We Install

Ceiling Fans, Support & Wiring

A replacement fan and a new ceiling location need different preparation. Start with the selected model and a photo of the installation area.

New Fan Wiring

New Fan Wiring

Plan the ceiling location, wiring route, and controls. We assess whether an existing circuit can serve the fan or new circuit work is needed.

Fan Replacement

Fan Replacement

Check the existing support, wiring, and controls against the replacement model before installing it.

Light-to-Fan Conversion

Light-to-Fan Conversion

A light box may not support a fan. We check for a fan-rated box, an electrical box approved for supporting a ceiling fan, or another mounting method allowed by the manufacturer.

Smart Fan Installation

Smart Fan Installation

Review the fan model, remote, app requirements, and existing home-control platform before installation.

Separate Fan and Light Controls

Separate Fan and Light Controls

Some models support separate wall controls; others use a receiver and remote. The wiring plan follows the selected fan.

Sloped or High Ceilings

Sloped or High Ceilings

Check ceiling angle, access, blade clearance, and any manufacturer-approved mounting accessories before choosing the fan.

Our Process

How We Install

Check the fan, support, wiring, and controls before installation.

1

Review the Location

We check ceiling access, existing support and wiring, and the proposed fan dimensions.

2

Define Equipment and Labor

The proposal identifies who supplies the fan, mounting parts, controls, wiring, and any surface repairs.

3

Install to Product Instructions

We use the specified support and compatible controls, with wiring suited to the fan and installation.

4

Check Operation

We check available speeds, light operation, controls, and unusual movement, then explain normal use.

The Fox Difference

Why Fox for Fan Installation

Support Checked

We verify mounting suitability for the selected fan rather than assuming the previous fixture support is adequate.

Access Planned

Ceiling height, slope, and access affect installation. Share a photo of the location when requesting an assessment.

Controls Matched

A light dimmer is not a universal fan-speed control. We follow the fan instructions when choosing compatible controls.

Wiring Reviewed

We check the existing wiring and proposed control arrangement before defining installation work.

Equipment Supply Defined

We identify the fan, mounting parts, wiring, controls, and labor needed for your installation.

Operation Checked

We review fan speeds, light function, and controls after installation.

FAQ

Ceiling Fan Questions

Can you add a fan where there is no wiring?

We can assess a new location and the route to an appropriate circuit. Ceiling access, finished surfaces, and control choices determine the work.

Does a ceiling fan need special support?

Yes. The support must be suitable for the fan and installed as its instructions require. Do not assume an existing light fixture box is approved to support a rotating fan.

Can a fan go on a sloped ceiling?

Some models can, with limits on ceiling angle and compatible mounting accessories. We check the exact model, blade clearance, and access before confirming the installation.

Who supplies the fan?

You can supply the fan or discuss equipment selection with us. Send the model information before purchasing so we can check mounting and control compatibility.

What affects installation cost?

An existing suitable support and wiring can simplify replacement. New wiring, ceiling height, access equipment, control changes, and surface repairs add scope.

Can you also help with TV wiring?

TV power, cable routes, and connected equipment are a separate smart-home task. Include that request so it can be assessed and quoted separately from the fan.

What if a fan wobbles or makes noise?

Stop using a fan with pronounced wobble or abnormal movement and arrange an assessment. Mounting, blade condition, controls, and the motor can all affect operation; written terms determine any coverage.
