Get Help Fast →If It's Sparking, Smoking, or Gone Dark
These are the calls we get every week. Every one of them gets worse the longer you wait — call now, not tomorrow.
Sparking Outlets or Panels
Visible arcing means loose connections, damaged wiring, or a failing breaker. Turn off the circuit at the panel and call us — sparking is a fire in progress.
Burning Smell
Electrical burning smell means overheating wires, melting insulation, or arcing inside a wall. Shut off the affected breaker immediately and call (650) 550-0719.
Complete Power Loss
Whole house dark? Could be a failed main breaker, loose connection at the meter base, or a PG&E-side issue. We diagnose which side the problem is on and fix or escalate.
Partial Power Loss
Half the house out? Usually a lost leg in the main panel, a failed breaker, or an open neutral. We test each leg, locate the failure, and restore full power.
Exposed or Damaged Wires
Storm damage, construction accident, or rodent chewing — exposed live wires are a shock and fire hazard. We make it safe and repair the damage permanently.
Tripping Breakers Won't Reset
If a breaker trips and won't stay on, there's a short circuit, ground fault, or the breaker itself has failed. Don't force it — we find the actual cause.
Hot Panels or Outlets
Warm or hot electrical panels, outlets, or switch plates indicate dangerous overloading or loose connections. Immediate fire risk — we dispatch same day.
Water Near Electrical
Flooding, burst pipes, or roof leaks near your panel, outlets, or wiring. Water and electricity are lethal together — don't touch anything, call us first.
Call to Repair
One phone call to a safe, repaired electrical system — usually the same day.

Emergency Questions
How fast can you get here for an emergency?
For active hazards — sparking, burning smell, exposed wires, smoke — we dispatch within 1-2 hours, including evenings and weekends. For non-emergencies like a dead outlet or tripping breaker, usually same-day or next-day. Call (650) 550-0719.
Do you charge extra for emergency or after-hours calls?
Troubleshooting is $90/hour regardless of when we arrive. We don't pad emergency rates. If the repair is straightforward, we quote and fix it on the same visit.
What should I do while waiting for you?
If you smell burning or see sparking: turn off the affected circuit at the breaker panel. If you can't identify which circuit, turn off the main breaker. Don't touch anything wet near electrical. Move people away from the area. We'll guide you on the phone.
Can you fix the problem the same day?
Most emergency repairs — yes. We carry breakers, outlets, switches, GFCI/AFCI devices, and common wire gauges in the truck. Panel replacements and rewiring get scheduled but quoted on the spot.
Do you handle PG&E coordination?
If we determine the issue is on PG&E's side of the meter, we document the problem and help you file the claim. We can't work on utility-side equipment, but we know exactly how to escalate and get PG&E out faster.
Is a safety inspection different from emergency repair?
Yes. Emergency repair fixes an active problem. A safety inspection ($200) is a preventive whole-home assessment — we check your panel, wiring, outlets, and grounding before something goes wrong. We recommend one annually for homes over 20 years old.
What's your warranty on emergency repairs?
All workmanship warrantied for 12 months. If the same issue recurs and traces back to our repair, we come back and fix it free.
