Most Bay Area homes weren't wired for today's devices. We add what's missing, upgrade what's outdated, and make sure everything meets current code.
New Outlet Installation
Adding outlets where you need them — behind the TV, at the desk, in the garage, on the patio. No more extension cords running across the floor.
GFCI Outlet Upgrades
Required by California code in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoors, and laundry rooms. We replace old unprotected outlets with GFCI devices that prevent electrocution.
USB-A & USB-C Outlets
Built-in charging at countertops, nightstands, and desks. No more adapters or fighting over wall chargers. We install Leviton, Lutron, and other quality brands.
240V Outlet Installation
For electric dryers, ranges, window AC units, welders, and power tools. We run dedicated circuits from the panel with properly sized wire and breakers.
Dedicated Circuits
Home office, aquarium, space heater, or server rack tripping the breaker? A dedicated 20A circuit solves the problem permanently. We run it from the panel.
Dimmer Switches
Single-pole, three-way, and smart dimmers. LED-compatible models that eliminate flickering. Lutron Caseta, Leviton Decora, and other trusted brands.
Smart Switches & Controls
WiFi switches for automation and voice control. Works with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit. We handle wiring — neutral wire or no-neutral configurations.
Outdoor & Weatherproof Outlets
GFCI-protected, in-use weatherproof covers for patios, gardens, holiday lighting, and hot tubs. Proper outdoor wiring that meets NEC wet-location requirements.

Install to Code
Wire run, outlet or switch installed, GFCI/AFCI protection verified. All work meets current NEC and California electrical code.

Outlet & Switch Questions
Why hire an electrician to replace an outlet?
An incorrectly wired outlet can cause a fire or electrocution. A licensed electrician checks polarity, grounding, and NEC compliance — and catches hidden problems in the wiring that you won't see from the outside.
Do I need a permit to add outlets?
Simple outlet-for-outlet replacements don't require a permit. Adding a new circuit from the panel typically does. We pull all necessary permits and handle inspection scheduling.
What is GFCI and where is it required?
GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) cuts power in milliseconds if it detects current leaking to ground — preventing electrocution. California code requires GFCI in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, laundry rooms, outdoors, and near pools. Many older homes lack proper GFCI protection.
Can I choose my own outlets and switches?
Absolutely. We install any brand and style — Lutron, Leviton, Legrand, Pass & Seymour, and more. We can also recommend models that match your home's aesthetic and your budget.
How much does it cost to add a new outlet?
Simple outlet replacement (same location): $75-$150. New outlet with new wiring: $200-$400. GFCI upgrade: $100-$200. 240V outlet: $300-$600. Dedicated circuit: $300-$800. All quoted upfront before work begins.
What's the difference between GFCI and AFCI?
GFCI protects against ground faults (electrocution risk near water). AFCI protects against arc faults (fire risk from damaged wiring). Since 2014, NEC requires AFCI on bedroom circuits. Many jurisdictions now require AFCI throughout the home.
Can you install a 240V outlet in my garage for tools?
Yes. We run a dedicated circuit from your panel with the correct wire gauge and breaker size for your equipment — whether it's a welder, air compressor, table saw, or EV charger.
What's the warranty?
Workmanship warranted for 12 months. Outlets and switches carry manufacturer warranties. If any issue traces back to our installation, we come back and fix it free.
