When to Call an Electrician
Spot one of these in your home? Don't wait — most issues get worse fast and become more expensive to fix.
Flickering or Dimming Lights
Loose connections, overloaded circuits, or failing wiring — don't ignore it.
Frequent Breaker Trips
Your panel can't handle the load. Time for an upgrade or dedicated circuits.
Buzzing or Hot Outlets
Buzzing means arcing. Hot outlets mean overloaded wiring. Both are fire hazards.
No GFCI in Wet Areas
Bathrooms, kitchens, garages need GFCI protection — it's California code.
Outdated Panel or Fuse Box
Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or fuse boxes are documented fire risks and insurance red flags.
Planning a Remodel
Kitchen, bathroom, or addition? You'll need new circuits, outlets, and possibly a panel upgrade.

Residential Electrical Questions
How does pricing work for residential jobs?
Estimates are free — we come out, assess the job, and give you a written fixed-price quote with no obligation. Troubleshooting visits are $90/hour. For safety inspection pricing, call our team.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. CSLB License #1145945 (C-10 Electrical Contractor), fully bonded and insured for residential work throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
How fast can you respond to an emergency?
For sparking outlets, burning smell, no power, or other safety issues we offer same-day emergency response, often within a few hours. Call (650) 550-0719 and we'll dispatch immediately.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes — for any work that requires a permit (panel upgrades, new circuits, EV chargers, major rewiring, etc.) we pull the permit, schedule the inspection, and close it out with the city. You don't deal with paperwork.
How long does a typical home electrical project take?
Small jobs (outlet replacement, switch install, ceiling fan) — same day, often 1–3 hours. Panel upgrades — typically one full day with power restored by evening. Whole-house rewiring — 3–7 days depending on home size and accessibility.
Do you work in older Bay Area homes with knob-and-tube wiring?
Constantly. Many homes here predate 1960 and we've rewired hundreds of them. We work carefully around lath-and-plaster walls, document everything for insurance, and bring the wiring up to current NEC code.
What's your warranty policy?
All workmanship is warrantied for 12 months. Manufacturer warranties on installed equipment (panels, breakers, EV chargers, generators) are passed through to you and we help you file claims if needed.
Do you offer financing for larger projects?
For projects over $5,000 we can connect you with HEAT Loan, PG&E rebate-financing, and other Bay Area energy upgrade programs. Ask during your quote.
